Nokia 770 PDA and Maemo get updated

By Justin Mann

If you own the Nokia 770 PDA, you'll be interested to know that Nokia has recently updated the operating system for it. OS 2006 is available for download at their site, and also at Maemo's site. OS 2006 includes the next version of Maemo as well. Maemo, the Linux-based application platform for the device, has had various improvements added, some quite neat. These include support for VoIP clients, auto-complete for the browser, better RSS support and lots more. Definitely worth the upgrade if you happen to own one, but be advised that it will break compatibility with older applications if you happen to use them. The OS can be downloaded at Nokia's site, and release notes for Maemo 2.0 can be found a Maemo.org
