Google creates blog-monitoring search

Even more interesting news from Google today, they are launching a new service that will provide blog notification. It's a sort of remote monitoring for blogs that can contact either a hosting company or an individual blogger and inform them of changes to blogs or even newly created ones. It isn't exactly a plug and play search, intended more for those who wish to make direct use of the service:

Google provides a manual process for submitting the URL of a new or modified blog, and application programming interfaces, or APIs, for those who want to automate the process.
You can read about “blog pinging” on Google's site.
