Sony helps you gear up like James Bond

I’m sure many of you, just like me would die for some of James Bond’s high-tech gadgets and gear. Well, Sony is giving you the chance to own an exclusive collection of Bond-branded equipment. Commemorating Bond’s 21st movie - and hoping to monetize on it, of course - the company has presented a collection of products that include limited-edition 007-branded models of VAIO TX and UX series ultra-portable PCs, DSC-T50 Cyber-shot digital cameras and Micro-Vault storage devices. All these products sport the 007 logo, are numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.

“Both James Bond and Sony have always provided a cool-factor that consumers have grown to love,” said Hiro Kawano, Sony Electronics’ Senior Vice President for Sony Style. “We are excited to be able to offer these collector’s items exclusively through Sony Style.”

There is definitively some coolness embedded in these products. They even have a VAIO Bluetooth GPS receiver that works with the UX Micro PC, perfect for those recon missions. The black on black looks just great.

  1. Pay more money just to get a black laptop with a damn "007" logo? :-P Yes, I can definitely see the coolness in Sony's exploding products.
  2. I'd love an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, with all those Bond gadgets, like missiles, machine guns, and those exciting things. But to get it, I'd need almost $2,000,000
