Continuing in their adoption of Intel processors, Apple has unveiled the next in their lineup of MacBook notebooks. These ones are now sporting Core 2 Duo processors, in 1.83GHz and 2.0GHz configurations. Supposedly 25% faster than previous generations of MacBooks, the new machines come with a 13” widescreen display, built in webcam, a small 1” profile, up to 1GB of DDR2-667 RAM and 60 or 120GB HDD. The MacBooks are nowhere near as pricey as the higher end Apple notebooks are, coming in at around $1099 for the 1.83GHz version and $1499 for the fully equipped 2GHz version.

These new machines are available immediately online and on retail shelves.
