Sapphire announces new X1950 GT card

In a press release issued today (which was curiously unavailable at the time of this writing), Sapphire has announced the release of another in their line of Radeon cards, with a Radeon X1950 GT, one of the fastest AMD/ATI-based cards currently available. While they currently do not rival the 8800 series, they are still good performers in and of themselves. Prices and specs are found inside the document the press blurb links, and reveals that it will be sporting a tag of $179, slightly more than a comparable 7900GS. Sapphire will be offering only 256MB flavors of the card, but will include dual dual-link DVI outputs and it will have HDCP support for newer DRM content. They'll begin selling the cards sometime early February.
