Developers and server administrators all over should rejoice, for new versions of PHP5 and PHP4 have been released. Primarily for security updates, PHP 5.2.2 and 4.4.7 both have many fixes brought to light by the Month of PHP Bugs project. The bugs vary greatly in scope and threat, but regardless it is still a good idea for any server admin to have their server updated. The Month of PHP Bugs project is, like many others of its type, intended to help software become more secure by presenting well known and unknown flaws to the public. Obviously, in this case it has worked, as many of the addressed issues were ones published on that site. Of course, fixes for those could have been in the works regardless.
