HP has recently confirmed a new Pavilion with a whopping 20.1" display. Truly, though, when looking at what this "mobile" offers, it truly is a replacement desktop. Sporting a Core 2 T7700, a Radeon HD 2600 XT, 4GB of DDR2, 400GB of HDD space amongst dual SATA HDD and an HD DVD drive, it has everything you need to have powerful workstation anywhere you need it. It also has HDTV input support and four internal speakers.

While it won't quite cut it as a gaming rig - due to low spindle speeds on the HDD and a midrange GPU - it still is impressive enough on its own. It joins a growing rank of machines designed to appeal to someone who really does want a laptop sitting on a desk. At 15.5lbs, you won't want to be lugging this thing around for long. The "Pavilion HDX" will come at quite the price premium, with a top cost of around $4500 when released in July.
