Asus has reportedly revealed all details of their upcoming C90 upgradeable notebook, which is essentially designed for mobile gamers and enthusiasts, giving them the freedom to choose the best hardware for their laptops, thanks to the D-Door design which allows every piece of hardware inside - including the MXM-compatible graphics card and processor - to be upgraded.

The new C90 notebook has a 15.4-inch screen and is compatible with up to a 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPU, 3GB of 800MHz DDR2 RAM and your choice of MXM-compatible graphics solutions. SATA HDDs are supported as well as traditional DVD burners or next gen drives including HD DVD and Blu-ray.

There is support for Asus exclusive 'Turbo Gear' which enables laptop users to overclock processor by 20%. This C90 barebone from ASUS can operate in four different modes - Overclocking, Gaming, Standard, and Power Saving for best performance in given conditions and needs.
The barebone system will be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce Go 8500 256MB graphics card, a DVD burner and apparently will sell for less than $1,000. You can read the detailed system specs of the Asus C90 in the comments section.
