Apple and AT&T announce iPhone service plans
Apple and AT&T said Tuesday the iPhone will work with any of AT&T's service plans, however, in order to make choosing a service plan simple and easy hey have put together three bundle plans, starting at $59.99 per month. Every bundle plan includes unlimited data, Visual Voicemail, 200 SMS, roll-over minutes and unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling. Customers will be able to activate their iPhone using Apple’s iTunes software on a Mac or PC computer.
The companies announced three individual monthly plans, based on a two-year service agreement with AT&T, priced at $59.99 for 450 minutes, $79.99 for 900 minutes and $99.99 for 1,350 minutes. Activation will cost $36.
Pricing for iPhone’s service plans seem to have been well received, considering unlimited data is included. The highly anticipated iPhone is due to go on sale at Apple's retail stores and at AT&T outlets at 6 p.m. Friday. It will also be available at Apple's online stores. The device will cost $499 for a version with four gigabytes of storage space and $599 for one with eight gigabytes of storage.
