Asustek considering entering handheld market?

After the launch of the Eee PC, Asustek might also venture into the handheld market as well. With initial sales looking good, including sellouts happening on the day of launch, it seems like an ideal for for Asus to continue their push into the embedded market.

Interestingly, the rumors of an Asustek handheld also went hand in hand with claims that the Eee PC is expected to outsell Asus notebooks next year. That would be very impressive for such a new product, and would give them incentive enough to make a PDA or other such device to couple with it.
