Amazon begins taking Gears of War 2 pre-orders?

Although Microsoft and Epic haven’t officially announced to be working on a sequel to the popular Xbox 360 bestseller Gears of War, many were confident that a second – and possibly a third – installment of the game was coming, and Amazon seems to have the inside word on this one.

The giant online retailer is listing Gears of War 2 for a November 15 release, 2008 on Xbox 360 – almost exactly two years after the original’s November, 2006 debut – and it’s making it available for pre-order at $59.99. We'll be sure to keep you informed on any announcements from Microsoft or Epic on the game.
