Everex pushes Cloudbook launch back to February
The Cloudbook, competitor to the Asus Eee PC, was scheduled to hit Wal-Mart today but if you've been itching to get your hands on the tiny Linux-based device, you might have to wait a little longer because this low-cost sub-notebook from Everex just got delayed for another month.
According to a report on ComputerWorld, Everex is holding back the Cloudbook for nearly a month to make “a couple of last-minute software tweaks,” presumably to gOS, its Ubuntu-based Linux distribution. You’ve got to wonder what’s involved in these software tweaks though, seeing how the gOS is already up and running on the company’s low-cost desktop, the gPC.
