OCZ introduces Flex II 4GB DDR2-1150 kits
OCZ has introduced what they claim is the world's fastest 4GB DDR2 kit, adding new units to their Flex II memory series. The new modules are rated as PC-9200 or DDR2-1150, making them sound like extremely fast piece of equipment even though its performance will most likely only be marginally better than standard rated modules. The units come with the mandatory Flex cooling system the series are known for, which can use passive cooling or become part of a water cooling system with ease.
The new modules make use of a stock 5-5-5-18 timing, and at DDR2-1150 speeds that sounds fairly impressive. They achieve this partially by using much higher than stock voltage, running at 2.1V as opposed to 1.8V.
