As expected, Sony today released the latest firmware for the PS3 adding two new big features to the slowly recouping next-gen console. The first is a revamped and easier to use PlayStation Store that makes downloading demos, trailers and full games much easier.

The second and biggest update to the PS3 itself is that the console will now be able to support Blu-ray Disc DTS-HD audio – that’s 7.1-channel lossless surround sound from any Blu-ray movies that support it. As usual, the 2.30 firmware update is now available from the PlayStation 3 update function.

Wow the new store is so cool..Just a little slow in loading icons which hopefully will improve in time. PS3 keeps getting better and better!
