GameTap offers original Fallout for free

If you are excited about the approaching Fallout 3 release and never got a chance to play the original, GameTap is giving you that chance for free. For an unknown amount of time, GameTap is letting you download the game and play it for free, provided you create an account with their service.

There have been problems reported with accessing it, but those are likely to be cleared up as time goes on. It can also be purchased elsewhere, of course, but if you are simply curious this is a perfect way to see what all the fuss is about. This is the second time this month when a company has offered a game up for free, following EA's move to hype up Red Alert 3 with a free release of the original Red Alert.
