Microsoft to introduce "slim" version of Xbox 360

Microsoft is planning a new version of the Xbox 360 in the near future, this one appeasing only aesthetics. Making no actual changes to the technical aspects of the console, Microsoft is preparing a slimmed profile version of the console. Following an event in Delhi, Microsoft has confirmed that the new slimmed version will be using a 45nm CPU.

Given the issues the Xbox 360 has had with heat in the past and damage to the consoles because of it, I surely hope they have engineered the slimmer version with this in mind. With less room inside comes less surface area and open air to get rid of heat. The device is expected to start selling sometime next year.
