First glimpse at BioShock 2 gameplay footage

Gameplay footage of the highly anticipated sequel to 2K Games' BioShock has recently been made available on Gametrailers.com. The video gives prospective players a glance at the elusive Big Sister and a fight against Splicers showing off the new Big Daddy drill weapon.

BioShock 2 is set ten years after the events of the original game when several towns around the world have been reporting kidnappings of young girls by attackers described as "thin", with red lights often reported as either being worn by the attacker or spotted nearby in the sea (who in truth, is a single attacker known as the “Big Sister”). The player is expected to take on the role of the first Big Daddy created in Rapture, who survived the motions of the first title.

The title is expected to be simultaneously released in late 2009 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Check out the video after the jump.
