Following the introduction of the IdeaCentre Q700 home theater PC last week, Lenovo is announcing more products aimed at what they call the “digital lifestyle” market. These include the company’s first home server – the IdeaCentre D400 – which makes managing content across several PCs simple using Microsoft’s Windows Home Server operating system.


The new system is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 processor, includes 1GB of system memory, and supports up to four hard drives for up to 8TB of storage. It also includes Apple's iTunes server to share music within the local network as well as five USB ports and an eSATA port to connect external devices. Like the Q700 HTPC which Lenovo touts as the perfect companion for this server, the D400 has a starting price of $499.

The company has also released two nettops, the Q100 and Q110, which will be priced at $249 and $349 respectively. Both models are 0.7-inches thin and use the 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 processor, but the Q110 adds Nvidia Ion graphics and a 1080p HDMI output, making it capable of handling HD video and DirectX 10.

In addition, the Q110 doubles the amount of RAM found in the Q100 to 2GB, and bumps up the storage from 160 to 250GB. Networking options include wired Gigabit Ethernet and a separate 802.11b/g wireless dongle, and both units will run either Windows XP Home or Vista Home Premium.
