Kingston intros two Lynnfield-ready 8GB memory kits

Kingston has introduced a new pair of HyperX memory kits that are dialed in for Intel's new Lynnfield architecture. Each set totals 8GB and consists of four 2GB DDR3 modules which operate at 1.65V. The KHX1600C8D3K4/8GX kit is clocked for 1,600MHz at 8-8-8-24, and the less costly KHX1333C7D3K4/8GX is rated for 1,333MHz at 7-7-7-21. The couple supports Intel's Extreme Memory Profiles, so configuring non-stock speeds and timings should be a breeze.

Neither set is particularly cheap. The speedier unit is tagged with an MSRP of $255, and the 1333C7D marked for $240. That said, Newegg already has the latter posted for $209.99 sans shipping -- but it's not in stock yet. Thankfully, 8GB of RAM is still impractical for the majority of us, and most outfits offer 4GB solutions that are much more wallet-friendly -- this includes Kingston with their P55-ready kits which start at about $90.
