BFBC2 loading fix released for older Radeons

Last week AMD rushed out an early version of the Catalyst 10.4 driver for folks experiencing long load times on maps in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 when running the game on Windows 7 or Vista. At the time, the fixed version only addressed Radeon HD 5000-series graphics cards, but the company has updated the preview drivers, adding a solution for older Radeon cards.

The newly released ATI Catalyst 10.4a Preview driver now corrects the loading issue for Radeon HD 4000, 3000, and 2000 series video cards. AMD warns that the driver has not been fully tested and is provided as is, without official support from the company. In other words, don't download it unless you're experiencing the above-mentioned BFBC2 bug. Also, the 10.4a is not compatible by Radeon HD 5800 Eyefinity 6 series products.
