Fashion retailer Fossil has unveiled four new connected wearables as part of its new Q line, all of which were built in collaboration with Intel.
The flagship wearable is the Q Founder, a round-face smartwatch running Android Wear. Details are scarce (practically non-existent) at this moment although we know it'll offer up notifications and other useful information when paired with a mobile device.
Fossil says the Q Founder will be available in time for the holidays starting at $275 with a black watch face and your choice of either a matching black or silver band.
The other connected watch is the Q Grant which, unlike the digital touchscreen of the Q Founder, features a traditional analog face that Mashable describes as the "stunner" of the group. The Q Grant works in the background, tracking your steps while providing alters via customizable colored LEDs and haptic feedback.
The Q Grant goes on sale October 25 priced at $175-195 depending on configuration. Buyers can select from a silver watch face with brown band, a black watch face with black band, a black watch face with silver band or a gold watch face with beige band.
The Q Reveler for men and Q Dreamer for ladies are smart bracelets that round out the new collection. Much like a standard fitness band, these wearables track your daily activities and handle notifications. Look for them in stores starting October 25 for $125.
All devices in the Q line work in conjunction with Fossil's proprietary app for Android and iOS which offers three main features: Q Activity, Q Notifications and something Fossil calls Q Curiosity. The activity tracker portion plays nice with other fitness apps as well including Google Fit, Health, Jawbone Up and UA Record. The notifications section, meanwhile, allows wearers to customize which notifications come from what app while curiosity encourages you to take a break from your normal routine and try something new.
