Next up we have HD Tach. This is a test that the OCZ Vertex was unable to dominate with results that lagged behind the G.Skill Titan, Intel X25-M, and even the traditional hard drive in the Burst Speed test. On the other hand, it delivered the best result for the average read speed.
The new OCZ Summit delivered a more balanced result that closely matched that of the Intel X25-M.
We used HD Tach to measure CPU utilization levels and access times. The Summit has a lightning fast access time of just 0.1ms, matching other top SSD offerings. The CPU utilization was also quite typical.
