Synology claims that the DS2411+ chugs 105 watts and we assume this is when loaded with a dozen hard drives. We tested with eight drives and found that the DS2411+ consumed 68 watts. That's 33% more than the DS1511+, which isn't bad given we were using three (~60%) more hard drives. Compared to the Core 2 Duo desktop, which was configured with just two HDDs, the DS2411+'s power consumption is impressive.
