According to 3Dmark2006 the new Radeon HD 2900XT is slightly faster than the GeForce 8800 GTX, while it is noticeably slower than the GeForce 8800 Ultra. This would be incredibly good news for the Radeon since it is designed to compete in the same price range as the GeForce 8800 GTS (640MB).
