what about no FDD
all the subjects that I have read about

but you still need a FDD
I need to put my main OS on a scsi drive
from ata.

For a small investment (about €12.-/£8.-/$15.-) you can buy yourself that floppy-drive. End of misery.

I have no room in machine for drive
I kinda have about 5 spare floppy drives hang'n around

There are several options...

1. Buy a USB FDD... I've been thinking about doing this myself, since I too has no dfd atm...

2. Download a linux distro cd-image, and burn that. Most of these are bootable, and give you access to quite powerful tools.

3. Borrow a windows cd from a friend. (This is perfectly legal as long as you remember to switch to your own non-bootable cd before installing. ) W98 is a good choice for this

4. Use this (http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/) description to create a bootable cd-rom. (Note, I haven't tried it myself, but it didn't mention any req for a FDD, so...)

1: you can use a virtual floppy drive to make your bootable CD with appropriate drivers and programs.

2: You can use some Linux based bootable CD like Knoppix.

3: You could just reinstall your main OS.

Why not just remove something from your computer and put a floppy drive in for the time being until you get everything sorted out. That seems like the easiest solution.

Drive Image uses a bootable CD, without the muss and fuss of floppy disks.

Not sure exactly what you want though...

trying to get company to write in new code to allow for writing to cd iso image
bart has a version of windows PE
that may due the trick
have not tryed getting to many calls on lost passwords
If anyone knows where I can dwnld a version of windows PE
