As we were reporting recently (http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12595&highlight=toshiba), Toshiba have been boosting laptop HDD capacity (in a much needed move) and now it looks like the company has produced the smallest fuel cell yet. (http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,116664,pg,1,RSS,RSS,00.asp).
"Fuel cells being developed for use in notebook computers will be able to power a machine for up to 10 hours on around 100 cubic centimeters of methanol, using a small pump to aid in the mixing of the methanol and water, and a fan to help dissipate heat."
This is just the sort of development we need to make notebooks - and in all sorts of electronic devices - smaller and more compact.
