Pioneer has today launched its new multiple format DVD writer (http://www.hexus.net/content/press_releases/press_release.php?dXJsX3ByZXNzX3JlbGVhc2VfSUQ9MTA3Mg==), the new DVR-A08XL. This drive is the "first DVD writer to support 16X write speeds on both DVD-R/+R along with the option to write at 4X speed on Double Layer media."

This drive has the ability to write 4.7GB of data in 7 minutes. Or, it can store up to 8.5GB on Double Layer media. All I need to know now is whether it can cook or not, and if the answer is yes, I am going to ask it to marry me!
