Athlon XP-Ms are cool :P

I haven't abandoned x86 computers completely, I just bought a new AMD mainboard and CPU.

I ordered Athlon XP-M 2400+, but the store sent me a 2600+ instead for some reason.

Why I chose XP-M? They don't have multiplier locks, and use lower voltage than normal XPs. Mine uses 1.45V by default, but my mainboard doesn't have an option to set Vcore lower than 1.65V...

Anyhow, I managed to get quite nice performance out of this 100 EUR chip:

Mobiles still have their advantages. You can keep your old parts.

That board may be limiting. Some people make custom BIOSes for overclocking. Do it at your own risk.
