thoes files are to be used with hp's own oem software for implementation on computers undergoing a 'quick' restore operation.

Thanks Zep,
This computer is original. I upgraded to win98. I just wanted the drivers for the hardware. This computer belongs to a disabled friend of mine who has no extra monies. I downloaded these .depot files and was looking for the app that created them.

are you saying the computer is not an hp build? if this is the case then what parts are you trying to install the hp drivers to?

Its an HP Visualize c110. It has all original equipment. Sorry for the confusion. It does help to know what we're talking about. My friend has no software. I found the software at the HP site but it was saved with the .depot extension. Since I don't know what application saved it I can't open it to burn to a cd.
Thanks
