Ok ive downloaded Service pack 2 recently. I only found out about window movie maker and that when i downloaded sp2 that the New movie maker 2 was included BUT when i go and find it in accessories it only says windows movie maker. Thats find i thought. I try and run it. It loads up and then i import a video and put it into story board. Then I add a effect and the next think windows movie maker exits without any warning and im back to the desktop.

Can anyone help me?

Didn't even KNOW there was such a program included!
Maybe (not unheard of with M$) that it is still a program under development.
Could it be that the imported video was read-only and therefor would not 'take' changes?
I'm only wild guessing.

I dont know...Its under ur Accesssories section. Go there and tell me if you have any problems with it.

I have that program as well. It starts up normally.
I imported \windows\clock.avi, added some fade-in and fade-out, saved it.
It asked to play it after saving, OK, and off it went.
It played fine without problems.

I have no intentions to do anything further with it though.

Does yours Say Movie Maker 2?
