the problem happens whenever i play 'GAMES'...my graphic card is

Welcome to the club :) , just zip the minidumps in \windows\minidump and post them here, but judging from my case, the culprit can be anything, from faulty driver to bad PSU, MB, RAM, or CPU. If u have another perfectly working machine, try to swap PSU, RAM, or CPU to know which one's the bad one.

IRQL x'FF' is an invalid IRQL. Most probably it is a software error. Zip 3 to 4 minidumps and attach the zip file here.

if you don't mind me asking... how do i zip the minidumps..? and what are they? where to find..?

When Windows crashes with blue screen, it writes a system event 1001 or 1003 and a minidump to the folder \windows\minidump. Check system event 1001 and 1003 and it has the content of the blue screen

Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System -> Event 1001/1003. Copy the content and paste it back here

Zip 5 to 6 minidumps into a zip file and attach the zip file at any webspace. I will study the dump and find out the culprit.

sorry to ask.. but how would you know which is 'event 1001, 1003'? because.. theres 2,317 events i see. and. i see 3 errors..

I'm trying to re-encode some divx movies and I get the BSOD of death as described here, if anyone can tell me which device is causing the problem I would be most appreciative.

my suspicions are the CPU or the GPU. (I've got 2 sticks of 512MB ram and tried both independantly and together without luck).

PSU is brand new (Tagan) so pretty sure that's not the problem. BIOS was recently flashed with standard BIOS from Vendor.

No overclocking at all. System temp fine - case @ 48C

All drivers are up to date (mobo, Gfx etc etc). The PC tends to operate just fine when not under a load.
