Anyone know of a Freeware opensource defrag utility that is better than built in XP?

It's not open source, but Diskeeper is available in a free version

thanks - tried it. Didn't like it. Full of adware and only can be used 5 times. I've tried diskeeper lite, but it's not that good- couldn't even defrag my flash drive fully.

If you want something good, you'll have to pay for it.
There's really only Diskeeper and O&O Defrag for professional purposes (I use Diskeeper Pro 9).

Have a look at these

Hi
Perfect disk is nice but not free. The demo is full function, and you can always delete and reinstall. Ahem.
