Tedster 10-11-2005, 02:01 AM Anyone know of a Freeware opensource defrag utility that is better than built in XP? RealBlackStuff 10-11-2005, 09:04 AM It's not open source, but Diskeeper is available in a free version http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Access_Control_Utilities/Diskeeper.html Ad 10-11-2005, 09:04 AM Tedster 10-11-2005, 10:22 AM thanks - tried it. Didn't like it. Full of adware and only can be used 5 times. I've tried diskeeper lite, but it's not that good- couldn't even defrag my flash drive fully. RealBlackStuff 10-11-2005, 01:32 PM If you want something good, you'll have to pay for it. There's really only Diskeeper and O&O Defrag for professional purposes (I use Diskeeper Pro 9). Have a look at these http://www.thefreecountry.com/utilities/defragmentation.shtml Blakhart 10-11-2005, 07:03 PM Hi Perfect disk is nice but not free. The demo is full function, and you can always delete and reinstall. Ahem. |
