hi there
can anyone help me please

ive got an old toshiba portege laptop with win98se and i have connected a
usb hub on it running a cd rom , mouse which are ok . But i seem to not be
able to find the external hdd anywhere :giddy: the external hdd which is
connected on the same usb hub dont seem to work.

in the system properties i find the yellow question mark 'other devices' ---pci card pci communication device but under the 'hard disk controllers' there is only the internal hdd , the external nowhere to be seen.

i have tried the external hdd drive on my other laptop and guess what.......it works , but not on the toshiba one . So whats going on there then. Where am i going wrong. It used to work fine but dont know wot ive done wrong.

Can anyone help me please.
