I keep encountering the usual Bit Torrent problems- blue screen or system freezes after about 10 minutes or so of downloading and i can't fix it!

i've tried the following:
updating network drivers
updating modem drivers
using bit torrent, bit comet, azureus
made sure my firewall permits bit torrent
have run virus scans

I don't know what else to do! someone please please help!

Are you sure it is related to BT? Is it some other problem with the OS that goes beyond BT?

You could try limiting your incoming and outgoing connections, if you have it set really high it can cause slowdowns. Shouldn't cause blue screens, but it might be worth looking into.

And you said "encountering the usual Bit Torrent problems". Perhaps you meant unusual, because that is by no means anything typical that occurs while using those programs.

thanks for the quick response guys! i'll try limiting the incoming and outgoing connections and see if that helps... i dont know why its suddenly started happening because BT has worked fine for a number of weeks and then all of a sudden just started crashing...

poertner: i think it has to be something to do specifically with BT because my OS is fine and only crashes when im using BT

can you post the settings UR using in Azureus and what plugins you have?
