Address bar sites won't load.

Something is really messed up with my address bar. Just yesterday when I tried typing in a site in the address bar and pressing enter, nothing happened. I tried clicking on the "GO" button as well but it won't load the page. It just stays on my homepage. This goes for any site I try to type into my address bar. For some reason, I can still access the sites in my Favourites, but I can't access a site by typing the address in. I can't even access google. I also noticed that I HAVE to type in http://(site) otherwise the site won't load. I didn't have to type in http:// before..only the site.

What's going on? Please help. Thanks.

Here are some options.All or none might work.

This for the http:// bit PREFIX MISSING IE

Make sure the auto complete settings are correct as - HERE

There`s a reg fix here - HERE No 245 right hand side, which might help.

Download this and let it clean out the Junk files- CCLEANER

Problems with IE often mean SPYWARE.Run some anti spyware scans in safe mode with Ewido and Ad-aware.

Reinstall IE - HERE You need the XP CD

Forget IE altogether and use one of these FIREFOX OR OPERA DO THIS ANYWAY.
