What is this about, in counter strike source, i have all my settings maxed out and im supposed to get like 100 fps people tell me, yet i get 30-40, i have my settings on semi high now so most things are on high except 2 or 3, and i get about 70 fps.

I got a intel pm 2ghz
2gb ram
ge force 7800 gtx

any idea why i wouldnt get the specified fps.

i heard about this from online gamers, they say i should get AT LEAST 100 fps

There is a difference between using a game with maxed settings at high resolution than using it at max at a lower resolution. If you use higher res youll get lower fps. And with lower res you get higher fps. If its not that then are you sure you have a 7800GTX on your Laptop.

Most of the time, other gamers when theyre are talking bout games and theyre FPS usually own a DESKTOP not a laptop. And if performance increased when you lowered settings to high then there is no problem your laptop might need a faster processor if you can upgrade.
