hey, I've just been using the sims 2 body shop and it works great for me, but I need to update my graphing card to play sims 2. Since the body shop works nice for me, can I expect the same performance with the game? My computer is even about to get some upgrades.

Yes, it will work ( im not a expert in Sims :D ) but the Body Shop doesnt use too much CPU usage or anything because it's not a full game but since you are upgrading your videocard & other stuff ( as I read in your other topics ) then you should expect great performance!

I don`t get mad, I just think it`s better if problems get sorted out on the forums, rather than via pm`s. That way, anyone with the same problem has a better chance of finding a solution. ;)

okay I would love to....but I have heard of the game half-life but never played before, don't even know what it is about...

It's a very cool game, the Single player is alright but the Multiplayer is quite good, If you like shooting people then you'll be a fan of Counterstrike / Half-life / Day of Defeat and many other titles by Valve

I seeeeeeeeee....lol, I rly don't like shooting people but I remember when I was younger I loveddddd the game Descent. Where you are in the spaceship and stuff. I think I got to like lvl 12 but than the computer was old and got taken away and now the cd doesn't read on my computer now. Wish I could still play it though.....THAT GAME WAS HOT lol.

The reason I know what goes on, is I try and quickly read every thread/post, just to make sure we haven`t got any spammers in them. The reason for this is simple. Just lately, spammers have been posting in threads that are already running as opposed to creating new threads for their garbage. I`m sure you can see how this creates a bit of a headache for the mods.

That`s what I was doing in this thread, when your comments caught my eye. ;)

yeaahhh and guess what....IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY!!! lol I know the graphics could be better but it's soooo good. I dunno why people say they need like 2.5 ghz processor, I have 1 ghz and it works fast and perfectly well!! Going back to play :) I can watch the full move in the beginning with nooo problems :D

Because EA is too lazy ( when it comes to make Sims games :haha: ) to add houses that are next to yours... Even though they had like 5 years to work on Sims 2 they didnt make it detailed very much :D

Well she did upgrade her cpu to 1ghz which is the min untill you hit to the sims 2 pets which is 1.3 ghz. But its at the min for the cpu and it runs good. I have been playing the sims for year and years so I sorta think I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the sims plus they just dont but min specs on the box for the fun of it they have a purpose in life

Sims isnt really fun to me because I cant headshot people :( But it's always fun to make a pool, get them all in and then sell the ladders because they are too stupid to climb out :evil:

I like in sims 1 how you can make rooms with no doors and get them to set off fireworks and burn lol I'm so evil, In the sims 2 you can place a family on the lot and nothing else wait till they all die and put another family do the same thing and so on and make a graveyard

Yeah its funny, also in the sims you you can just use the cheatcode motherlode so you dont have to use rosebud;!;!......then !;a so it gives you an invaild cheat code but still gives you money and you keep hit enter or better yet I used to lay something on the enter key so I got more money

Oh I use to do that too for the older sims where I lay a book on the enter key and I get like $999999999999999

yeah the game works great for me, it's just I'm trying to build a good house and it takes sooo much work, lol. I'm still trying to get use to the game. I need to slow down the days a bit cause they keep going to fast. Yeah the game works great :) I LOVE IT!! I played like 5 hours last night, not goood at all. And their meters (fun, hygiene, etc.) keep going down too fast and I have to keep them up and get their wants...its crazy...too much stuff to do!!!! Even with a 1ghz processor and 512 ram and the geforce4 mx 440 8x, the game neighborhood and houses load sooo fast, it's wonderful, lol. and I was worried all this time that it would work crappy.

What exactly is the different between lot, neighborhood, and house. I'm reading the manual, but I still don't get it.

another question, I about to download like two things from the modsims.com, sumthin like that, like new hair and food, where do I save it to or does it automatically go in the correct folder?

What I do is just pause the time and build the house with all the furniture then I put the game on the 3nd play button ( 3x speed ) so they can go in and check out the house and all that then after that I put it on normal speed so I can get their stuff up

Thats what I do works just fine, but what I love aobut the sims 2 is open for business it is so much fun you can own on at their home or a lot and they can have a manger run the business if its on a lot and they ndont even need to go there and they get money and can own business's such as car lots, bakerys, pet shops, computer stores, all kinds of stuff

also they can make robots, flowers and toys with stands and they one type of robots never die of old age but can go hywire but still its very fun

When you post you can scroll down and put "Add Attachment" and get the file and put it into the browse file ( That would be better because if a Mod thinks it's a bad file or something they could always delete it )
