despite setting to automatically obtain ip addresses and dns servers and enabling dhcp, i still can't see the other player in the game lobby. i have ipx installed and both pc's are present in the 'view workgroup computers'. i have also tried sharing a folder and it worked. however, when i tested the network (not sure whether the test was before or after changing the setting as I've mentioned above) using dxdiag-network-testdirectplay-create/join session, pc1 reported the ip address 192.168.0.1 and the other showed the ip address 192.168.0.50. pls help.
