WINE works...but Video problems

Apprently i installed WINE correctly because i installed Half- Life, entered in CD key when i ran hl.exe.

When it goes to actually enter the game it comes up and tells me im not running 24 bit mode..when i THOUGHT i installed my Radon 9700 pro drivers right using Fglrxconfig... :-/

Apprently not.

Anyone install a Radeon that can tell me how to install it properly, perhaps link me to a nice step by step guide?

My friend has the 9800 Pro, he installed his fine i guess...i do the same thing and nope.

ATI Control panel wont open either. But i have the icon in my GNOME applications menu.
