For some reason my touchpad keeps diabling itself upon bootup. I have to manually turn it on and plug in my USB mouse. It won't save the settings. I have a toshiba M35X series laptop. No, I do not have any viri or trojans. I think I deleted a config file, but I am not sure.
Any ideas how to correct this?

Hi,

This question has to be asked -
Have you reinstalled the drivers and the touchpad utilites ? In the BIOS is it setup for touchpad or PS2/Touchpad? Also in Windows remove all the drivers for the TP. Go into safe mode and to it completely. Next reboot the laptop and install the most current drivers and control panel for the TP. I had the same issue that solve the problem. If it still does it then the TP has to be replaced.

lawls Tedster, welcome to TechSpot...again, oh and I use to have that same problem with my Toshiba, I spoke with Toshiba, there is a software update you can get from them so this never happens again. You can lock your settings, however you want them with this software.
