i attempted to post a screenshot here at techspot and found that the file exceeded the limit. when i saved the screenshot (ms paint) i typed in the dialog box event viewer five.jpg and clicked save. i thought this screenshot could be posted here. should i have clicked the down arrow and chosen JPEG or BMP, or one of the other options? once my screenshot is made, and in my pictures, can i change or rename the type of file that it is, so that i can solve this problem and post. thanks, Ed

It`s easier just to upload your image to a site like ImageShack or Photobucket,

then just use IMG links.

Is this really the right topic to post this in? :)

Thread moved.

Yes, jpegs are ok at TS. However, we have a limit of 100kB for attachments.

Either reduce the resolution of the image or, has already been suggested, use some photo hosting.

Regards Howard :)

Attachment limit is only for the forums.
The gallery limit for picture uploads is currently 1500KB (aprox 1.4mb) and a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels.
