Can't install java runtime environment for vista.help..

so i'm able to download it and firefox is able to start the installation but just before the installation ends an error occurs :

the installation of package http://java.sun.com/update/1.6.0/jre-6u3-windows-i586-jc.xpi failed with -203.

what does that mean?

any help would be really appreciated.

Try downloading the installer and saving it to your desktop, rather than letting FF install it. Then, close all browsers and double click the Java installer. See if that helps. You`ll find the offline installer below.
