I have thrown out Norton Systemworks 2002 because of system-resource hogging (same problem as with NIS2004) and sworn that I will never use Norton again. (Took me over 3 hours to get rid of it).

I got rid of norton and swore off that resource hog. The last straw was when you had to send in old cd to get rebate. I use AVG, and it's free with free zone alarm and no more problems.
