Audio Input Problem-SoundMax Card
Hi:
I'm trying to set up for recording vinyl records to CD via Magix audio cleaning lab. I get an intermittant signal to the program. With volume set at highest setting, I'm not getting an adequate signal. I have a SoundMax Digital Audio (on board) sound card. Using a Technics SA919 receiver to boost signal. Thanks. |

To get the proper signal, you will need a pre-amplifier between your record-player's element and the input into the soundcard.
Most older tuner/amps have this. Make sure to connect RecordPlayers to the Phono input jacks. You can buy a program called "Clean Plus" from Steinberg which includes such a pre-amp on its own, which is (depending on the version) plugged into USB or the joystick/midi-port.
