New to Xubuntu

I have just installed Xubuntu on an old laptop, I am having sound problems that is no sound at all, through games,music or system sounds. I do however know that the sound drivers are there and the system is not muted

Can Any one help me

It is an integrated audio card on an intel system on an older gateway laptop. when I have the laptop in front of me I can give you the exact driver information

Found great article

Ok I was having sound problem but This Ubuntu forum had a section that was awsome and helped me fixe the problem I am bringing this her so anyone else who needs help with this type of problem can find it eaiser
