Hey everyone, I'm Lolos and I have a question for everyone, hope u guys can help me. I recently brought a WD 1tb external harddrive about a month ago. I got it and hooked up it and it was working great. Two weeks ago my computer wouldn't reconigze it and my laptop would freeze. I restarted it and it would start and show the windows xp logo and then a black screen. Black screen would stay there and nothing would load. I went ahead and started my laptop in safe mode and my laptop sees my external harddrive and works just fine. I don't know whats going on, can you help me please.

try to start windows without the drive...when windows boot successfully plug the drive in the usb port and check what happens.....scan ur laptop and desktop in case of a malware....

Try booting the computer, then connect the HD.

Should solve the problem.

Well I did scan for malware and it was clean. I do try to plug the External Harddrive while the laptop is already on and running. But It just Freezes my laptop and I have to restart. Then that black screen comes on and stays there.
