You could just start again (Windows installs in about 30 to 45 mins)
But have the drivers extracted on CD or something

Put the Windows disc back in
This time remove the Partition (better that formatting)
Then just let Windows install normally
Once completed load the driver above in order above
Then install SP2 (Minimum) SP3 preferred

If it still happens, it must be a Hardware issue like Ram, or something
You could use Memtest to test that

I'd say it still will
Because a default Windows install without any drivers installed or anything, should crash.

I still believe you are best doing the above (exactly !) ie Remove partition and setup again
This will confirm if it's Hardware or not

I don't know how to remove partitions or re-format/install windows... is it difficult?

No not difficult.

You need:
A computer (I must be thorough!)
A Windows setup CD
A Windows key (that sticker with the long number on it)
And a working CD/DVD Drive (actually all hardware working ideally)

Then put the Windows CD in the drive
Reset your computer (you can even just press the reset button, since it's all just going anyway)
When you get the prompt "Press any key to boot from the disc" just press the space bar
Allow all the innitial Windows files to load up
At last you will be given the option to setup Windows
At this point, read all the writing, somewhere in the text it says press L to remove the partition(s)
Once all the Partion(s) are removed, don't create a new one
Just continue setting up Windows (Windows creates a single Partition NTFS for you)
Then follow the bouncing ball (note: there is no bouncing ball)

Once you at last get to the Desktop, start installing all your Drivers
Continue to install all Service Packs
All done

Except of course you still need Adobe and Office and all the rest

Pretty soon...

Ok, my motorcycle tire blew and I've had no time.

I will re-format it tomorrow.

I already bought a new stick of RAM because that's probably it I hear.

But it will re-format it first and see if it still crashes when playing videos and stuff.

So my computer totally crashed and I bought the wrong RAM but now I installed some new RAM yesterday and it works. It still crashes tho

So I'm gonna try the re-format and no partitions thing right now.

I wanted to try memtest but I put it on a CD and my computer won't boot from it. How do I make it boot from the CD? I don't think it will.
