Cannot install windows because of grub

I installed ubuntu (just ubuntu not dual boot) and i now want to get rid of it. I have my vista installer cd, but i cannot run it due to grub. I get the error message:
boot from cd/dvd
grub 1.5
error 22
I looked up how to delete grub, but you need to run the vista cd.

It seems im in a paradox here. I cant delete grub, because i cant run win vista installer. And i cannot run win Vista installer because i can't delete grub.
Please help!

Where can i get a Dos disk? can i download it off of the internet or something?

If you have a pal with a Windows system make one that way.

edit: or Google 'make a DOS boot disk'

I don't have a floppy drive. Can i do this with a cd-r?

So i burn it to a cd and boot from start up. Then i should be able to delete grub and install ms-dos/vista?
