Persistent linux mint install on usb?

i found some forum posts that use the method for installing ubuntu7.10 (by pendrivelinux.com) but the instructions seem to use commands for gibbon...do i have to modify any commands from that tutorial?

I think the procedure in general is the same in every Linux.

There are instructions for Mint on pendrivelinux too, did you notice?
