My google searches are being redirected and my PC is beginning to run slow. I ran through the 8 step process and have attached the logs. The PC is running faster again. I hope it's clean... thanks for looking at the logs. This has been helpful.
My lame first attempt at posting log files left out the most important part... asking "please help". I have no idea what a good hijackthis log file looks like verse a bad one. Last edited by momok; 11-13-2008 at 01:05 AM.. Reason: dont double post. use the edit button instead. |

Your logs are clear of Malware. Good job. Update Java There are some useless wheel spinners in startup. But no worry about malware now. Bedtime for me now, but I will post some speedups tomorrow. How is everything now? Mike |

The computer is running much faster now. Thanks. I appreciate you taking a look at the logs and for the advice on startup items that I don't need. I've always wondered how to eliminate un-needed items and clean-up the startup sequence. I'll update java now.
